摘要
Abstract
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo ( BPPV) is the most common peripheral cause of vertigo .It is charac-terized by brief attacks of rotatory vertigo with torsional positioning nystagmus , which are elicited by changes in the head posi-tion relative to gravity .The posterior and lateral semicircular canals are usually affected .The incidence of BPPV had an in-creased trend year by year , but diagnosis and management of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is not still definite , so that many patients can not get efficient diagnosis and treatment .The article is mainly reviewed about the latest research progress of the diagnosis and treatment of BPPV at home and abroad in recent years , in order to guide the clinical to promote the level of diagnosis and treatment and reduce the recurrence rate .关键词
