摘要

Abstract

In order to determine the pathogenic bacteria in a duck-farm from Xuzhou City of Jiangsu Province,a strain,named as JSE4,was isolated from the liver of a dead duck,identified as Escherichia coli based on its colony morphology,microscopic characteristics,biochemical test and 16S rRNA sequence.Rapid detection of avian pathogenic E.coli,virulence assay,virulence genes,drug sensitive test and phylogenetic analysis showed that the strain was avian pathogenic E.coli,and it could cause 16.7% death of the experimental group of ducks.The isolate contained 12 of 14 virulence genes.The result of resistance test to 30 drugs showed that the strain was highly sensitive to streptomycin,macrodantin,imipenem,furazolidone,ceftazidime and aztreonam.16S rRNA sequence analysis showed that the strain had a close genetic distance with strains from Belgium water,Switzerland poultry meat and China duck,the strain had 99.7%homology to isolates from Belgium water and Switzerland poultry meat.The above results indicate that a avian pathogenic E.coli strain with multiple drug resistance (MDR) is isolated from the liver of a dead duck in a duck-farm from Xuzhou City of Jiangsu Province.
