Induction Motor with Zero Mechanical Energy
摘要
Abstract
Traditional motor function is mechanical-electrical energy conversion, herein reducing loss and avoiding temperature rise should be considered in motor designing. Based on the iron loss and temperature rise of motor, a new type of induction motor with zero mechanical energy is proposed. Radial magnetic field of high frequency alternating by winding placed in stator will induct the eddy current in solid structure stator and rotor core, hence all electrical energy input can be converted into heat energy. The unique bilateral heating effect can solve rotating screw heating bottleneck problem of extrusion equipments. According to the analytical expression of electromagnetic heating power based on system equivalent model, eddy current distribution and end effect of core are analyzed by finite element method. Prototype heating experiments show that, compared with traditional winding spiral electromagnetic induction heating technology, the proposed induction motor can improve heating efficiency significantly, shorten preheat time, and reduce radial temperature difference.关键词
