摘要

Abstract

The asymmetric Fe3Al intermetallic compound powder filter elements were prepared by wet spraying and vacuum high temperature sintering. The microstructures, compositions, and phases of the filter elements were observed and analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy disperse spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The pore characteristics of the filter elements in different surface membrane thickness were investigated. The effects of binder and curing agent on the mechanical properties of the filter elements were studied. The bonding strength between the surface membrane and the matrix of experimental samples was tested. The results show that, the particles on the filter surface are still spherical after vacuum sintering, and the interconnected sintered neck is formed between the particles. The sintered neck is also formed between the coarse particles of filter matrix and the fine particles of membrane. The binder and curing agent have no obvious effect on the mechanical properties of the filter. The bonding strength between the surface membrane and the matrix is more than 25 MPa.
