摘要

Abstract

Titanium hydride powder (TiH2) was grinded by closed loop jet mill system, the morphology and grain size distribution of particles were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and laser-diffraction diameter tester, and the related grinding mechanism was discussed. In the results, the quality problems of titanium powder caused by hydrogenation dehydrogenation (HDH), such as the non-uniform and wider distribution of particle size, are solved by grinding using closed loop jet mill system. The grinding mechanism of titanium hydride powder from the larger particles into fine particles is summarized as the impacting and grinding by high pressure argon flow, the collision and friction by powder particles themselves, and the collision by the inner wall of grinding cavity and classifier wheel.
