Abstract

The gas hydrate formation rate and gas storage capacity severely restrict the development of natural gas hydrate storage and transportation.In order to improve the formation velocity and gas storage capacity, the saturated solution was used to provide the seed crystal instead of the spontaneous formation of the hydrate crystal.The effects of different saturation CuSO4 solution, MgSO4 solution and deionized water on the natural gas hydrate formation velocity and gas storage were studied at 8.45 MPa, temperature of 3, 5, 8 ℃, respectively.The results show that the saturated solution can promote the formation of natural gas hydrate.Under the same experimental conditions, the saturated CuSO4 solution to generate hydrate storage capacity is 7 times that of deionized water, MgSO4 saturated solution hydrate storage capacity is 7.2 times of deionized water, and the formation rate of hydrate in saturated solution has been improved markedly.The initial formation stage of natural gas hydrate in saturated solution is mainly affected by the saturated solution crystallization, and reducing temperature can change hydrate equilibrium pressure and influence the average generated speed of hydrate, but that has little effect on natural gas hydrate formation in the early speed.
