Abstract

The water level control for the checking survey and the channel sweeping survey in the Bohai Strait and its adjacent sea areas is difficult owing to the broad survey region and the complex tide.The multiple techniques are implemented to produce precise water level corrections.First,two methods of the least square fitting method and the tide model and residual water level monitoring method are employed to reduce the operation risk.Second,the water level data of the seaborne fixed point tidal stations is resumed by the virtual gauge station technique.The analysis and the accuracy evaluation of the key process are applied to meet the criteria of the quality control.The assessment shows that the accuracy meets the standards of hydrographic surveys,and the goals of the planning stage are accomplished.
