Optimization of Sewage Impurity Separation Process Based on Micromesh Separation Technology

Abstract
Impurity separation process is a novel technology for sewage pretreatment,which may remove small particles (>0.1 mm) and can displace the traditional fine screen.In order to optimize the design and operation of impurity separator,this study analyzed the removal rates of impurities by using different pore-size meshes and also investigated the influence on the followed biological treatment.Results showed that the impurities removal rate of 150~ 500-meshes could reach up to 90%,while there were hardly any removal efficiencies of 16-mesh and 32-mesh.Additionally,biological analysis showed that the carbon sources remained in the treated sewage could be barely utilized for denitrification by the filtration less than 150-mesh.With the increase of mesh numbers,the denitrification would be affected due to the insufficient carbon sources.It also revealed that the carbon sources remained in the treated sewage could be adequate for phosphorous removal by the filtration of 500-mesh.In summary,150-mesh was suggested for the optimal material for the sewage pretreatment.关键词
