Abstract

The elliptic gear pair is the driving mechanism of the variable speed paper feeding device, which can change the output speed and plays a key role in the performance of the whole device.Taking the elliptic gear in a non-circular gear transmission mechanism as an example, this paper established a virtual prototype and performed dynamic analysis in ADAMS.The results show that the driven gear of the elliptical gear pair exhibits a periodic nonuniform velocity motion, and the vibration pulse in the transmission process causes the fluctuation of its angular velocity.When the working load is 1 000 N·mm, the average meshing force of the gear is 57.164 N and the root mean square (RMS) is 300.4 729 N.The results provide the basis for the optimal design of the variable speed paper feeding mechanism.
