Development of a new tensile-strength tester for unsatured structural loess
摘要
Abstract
The research on tensile strength of structural loess is less,which is necessary to measure and analyze with the reasonable test methods.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the current cohesive soil tensile strength test devices,a type of test apparatus which can applied to tensile strength test of the saturated and unsaturated structural loess is developed,and the debugging and running of the test devices are done.Based on which,the tensile strengths of the natural and remolded loess with different initial water content are measured.The test results show that for both the natural structural loess and the remolded loess,its tensile strength show a trend of decrease with the increase of water content;under the condition of the same moisture content,the tensile strengths of natural loess are greater than that of remolded loess,but the difference of the tensile strengths are not big in a saturated state.In addition,for the natural structural loess,when its moisture content is low,the value of the tensile strength can achieve 300 kPa,and this is not a negligible quantity.关键词
