摘要

Abstract

The karstic fissures and conduits are the main underground water-storing space and water-conducting channels in Sout hwest China. Sinkholes are important water discharge channels for temporary storage of the surface water in karst area, and are w idely distributed in the Southwest. To study the effects of sinkholes on the spring flow att enuation process is of great im-portance of karst water resources and the st udy of The karst hydrology. A physical model of fissure-conduit medium was set up in this st udy, and was used to simulate the spring flow attenuation process for different cross-sect ion sizes and filling degrees of the sinkhole. The sensitivity of the attenuat ion coeff icient to different factors was explored w ith the attenuation curve. Results of the experiments demonstrat ed that the exponential at tenuation formulation can describe the attenuation process generally, and the att enuation curve can be divided into three phases. The attenuation coefficientof the first phase is much subject to the cross-section size of the sinkhole. The at tenuation coefficient w ill increase as the sinkhole cross-sect ion size decreases, and it has posi-tive correlat ion w ith the f illing degree of sinkholes.
