Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effects of sequential application of Yin Nourishing Decoction and Yang Tonifying Decoction in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).Methods:Eighty-six patients with PCOS treated in outpatient department between July 2013 and June 2016 were equally divided into traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) group and controlled group with 43 cases in each group.The TCM group was treated by Yin Nourishing Decoction and Yang Tonifying Decoction sequential therapy combined with routine western medicine while the controlled group was only treated with routine western medicine.The serum hormones [luteinizing hormone (LH),follicle stimulating hormone (FSH),estradiol (E2)],endometrial thickness,form,follicular development and success rate of pregnancy were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results:There were no significant differences in LH,FSH,E2,endometrial thickness and follicular size between the two groups before treatment (P ＞ 0.05);after treatment,compared with those before treatment,LH in the two groups decreased significantly while FSH,E2,endometrial thickness and follicular size increased significantly,and the decreasing and increasing ranges in TCM group were significantly greater than those in the controlled group.The ratio of type A endometrium and the success rate of pregnancy in TCM group (53.49％,58.14％) were significandy higher than those in the controlled group (30.23％,34.88％) (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:Yin Nourishing Decoction and Yang Tonifying Decoction sequential therapy combined with routine western medicine can effectively regulate the levels of serum hormones in patients with PCOS,significantly increase the endometrial thickness and improve follicular development,improving the success rate of pregnancy.关键词
