摘要

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of a new latticed locking plate in the treatment of humeral greater tubercle fractures.Methods A total of 23 patients with humeral greater tubercle fractures classified as Neer Ⅱ type underwent internal fixation operation using a new latticed locking plate from Dec 2014 to Sep 2016.The treatment consisted of open reduction,internal fixation and shoulder cuff injury repair with plate and screws through an about 4 cm length proximal anterior lateral incision.Functional exercise guidance were provided post operation.Results All patients were followed after operation.The fracture healing time and joint functional recovery of these patients were evaluated.The mean follow-up period was 4 (range,3 ~ 6) months.The average time to achieve fracture union was 8 (range,6 ~12) weeks.The final Neer shoulder functional scores were excellent in 13 patients,good in 7,moderate in 7,and poor in 1.The total excellent and good rate of patients was 86%.One case occurred postoperative displacement.Postoperative complications included nerve and vascular injury,superficial infection,and loosening or breakage of internal fixation complications were not observed.Conclusion The new latticed locking plate has the advantages of minimal injury and strong internal fixation.It is satisfactory in the treatment of humeral greater tubercle fracture.
