Abstract

In order to find a high efficiency method to degrade the phenol wastewater, the different catalysts are synthetised and its removal efficiency of phend is compared. It is found that when pH is 11.0,1.0 g/L ZnFe2O4 could degrade the 50 mg/L phenol in 120 min, whose pseudo-first rate constant k=5.30×10-3 min-1. Moreover 1.0 g/L CuCo2O4 could degrade the 100 mg/L phenol completely in 30 min via the Advance Oxidation Processes (AOPs) method, whose pseudo-first rate constant k=1.25×10-1 min-1. This research shows that the ZnFe2O4 and CuCo2O4 exhibite the good oxidation efficiency of phenol. Scavenger of SO4·-and·OH active radicals by 1.0 mol/L ethanol experi-ments proved that the radicals have the contribution effect involved in phenol oxidation.
