Abstract

Objective:To explore the relationship between chromosomal karyotype of peripheral blood and semen abnormality of infertility patients diagnosed as azoospermia and oligoasthenozoospermia,and provide theoretical basis of diagnosis and treatment for infertility.Method:Analyze the chromosomal karyotype(Giemsa banding karyotype analysis) of patients with infertility at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,Tongji Hospital,Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology from 2010 to 2015.Result:There were 340 patients with abnormal chromosomal karyotype (13.96%) among the 2436 cases in this study.Of all karyotype abnormalities,there were 208 patients (61.18%) with sex chromosomal abnormolities,in which Klinefelter syndrome was most common.There were 132 patients (38.82%) with autosomal abnormalities,in which autosomal polymorphism and translocation were most common.There were 179 cases (17.65%) with chromosomal karyotype abnormalities in the 1014 cases of azoospermia,mainly manifested as sex chromosome numerical abnormality (81 cases,45.25%).There were 161 cases (11.32%) with chromosomal karyotype abnormalities in the 1422 patients with oligoasthenozoospermia,and mainly manifested as sex chromosome structural abnormality (69 cases,42.86%) and autosomal chromosome structural abnormality (84 cases,52.17%).The composition of chromosomal abnormalities in patients with azoospermia and oligoasthenozoospermia are different,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusions:The generation of azoospermia or oligoasthenozoospermia is tightly related to the type of chromosomal abnormalities.The cytogenetic etiology analysis in the male with infertility is of great significance to clarify the etiology and to guide therapy.
