Abstract
The factors affecting treatment of poly- p- phenylene benzobisoxazole PBO fiber by chemical agent PPA/NH4Cl was studied by orthogonal experiment. The effects of treatment time, composite ratio, poly phosphoric acid (PPA) concentration and treatment temperature on the properties of fiber were discussed. It was found that the concentration of PPA mainly determined the mechanical properties of fibers, the tempera-ture mainly affected the roughness of the fiber surface, and the treatment time and the concentration of PPA affected the fiber swelling. The optimal test scheme was selected to treat fiber. The fiber before and after the treatment was characterized by TG/DTA test and SEM. The results showed that the diameter of treated fibers changed, and the PBO fiber treated by chemical agent still had excellent thermal property.关键词
