Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is one of the most important chronic non-communicable diseases that threaten human health around the world,and its treatment has always been the focus of research.In 2017,the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists(AACE)/American Society of Endocrinology(ACE) launched the 2017 version of AACE/ACE consensus statement on the comprehensive type 2 diabetes management algorithm(hereinafter referred to as the 2017 AACE/ACE consensus statement) according to the latest research on diabetes treatment program and the 2016 edition of Food and Drug Administration(FDA) drug update.This paper summarizes the update of the 2017 AACE/ACE consensus statement compared to the 2016 edition,which emphasizes the importance of diabetes complications management,and the necessity of weight loss while reducing blood sugar.In addition,it also provides a brief overview of the differences between AACE/ACE consensus statement and the American Diabetes Association(ADA) guidelines in order to provide a basis for exploring more rational diabetes management programs.关键词
