Abstract
Objectives To investigate the clinical effect and safety of ablation with high intensity focused ultrasound ( HIFU ) for treating hysteromyoma. Methods Totally 46 patients with hysteromyoma were treated by ablation with HIFU. Tumor volume before treatment and area of no perfusion volume after treatment were measured by magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI ) , and the ablation rate was recorded. Tumor volume was evaluated at before and after treatment, and the decreased rate of tumor volume was calculated by color doppler ultrasound. The efficacy also evaluated by hysteromyoma symptom score. The adverse reactions in and after treatment were recorded. Results In the 46 patients treated by ablation with HIFU, the tumor ablation rate was ( 77. 79 ± 11. 94 )%. 3 month after treatment, the tumor volume reduction rate was ( 39. 90 ± 11. 14 )%, and fewer complications after treatment were appeared. Conclusion Ablation with HIFU is a noninvasive technique for the safe and effective treatment of hysteromyoma.关键词
