Cloning and Transformation of the HGO Promoter from Arabidopsis thaliana
摘要
Abstract
The HGO gene encodes the 1,2-homogentisate dioxygenase,which catalyzes the last third step in the Tyr degradation pathway.In this study,a fusion expression vector of Arabidopsis thaliana HGO gene promoter and GUS gene was constructed and transformed into Arabidopsis thaliana by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation.Results from histochemical GUS assay suggested that fusion expression vector of HGO gene promoter and GUS gene was successfully constructed and it drives the expression of GUS gene successfully.Our results create valuable materials for studying the expression characteristics of HGO gene in Arabidopsis thaliana.关键词
