Abstract
Objective To study the correlation between phlegm dampness syndromes and firstly diagnosed type diabetes mellitus(T2DM) concurrent thyroid nodules.Methods 123 T2DM patients were divided into phlegm dampness group (n=70) and non-phlegm dampness group (n=53), and 50 healthy people were recruited, too.The thyroid ultrasound of the three groups were compared.Results Compared with healthy group, firstly diagnosed T2DM patients were easier to get thyroid nodules, female T2DM patients were more likely to get thyroid nodules than men, and phlegm dampness T2DM patients had a higher risk to thyroid nodules than non-phlegm dampness T2DM patients.The differences above were all significant.Conclusion There is correlation between phlegm dampness and thyroid nodules in patients with type 2 diabetes.关键词
