Method for Calculating and Evaluating the Utilization Rate of Switching Devices in Power Electronics System

Abstract
The utilization rate of switching devices is one of the most important criteria to evaluate the performance of power electronics system. In the process of designing power electronics system, the selection of semiconductor power switches mainly relies on the practical experience of the designer. There are no quantitative methods of guidance. In order to optimize the design, a method to calculate and evaluate the utilization rate of power switches is proposed. This method can be used in different circuits and systems. As the basis for the selection of power switches, utilization rate is obtained by calculating the parameters of circuits and power switches. The higher the value of utilization rate, the higher the degree of device utilization in different schemes. Several practical cases are taken as examples to illustrate the application scenarios and the calculation procedure of the utilization rate.关键词
