摘要

Abstract

In recent years, the protection of distribution network with inverter-interfaced distributed generators (IIDGs) has caused great concerns.However, there are some limitations in the existing protection principles based on the remote or local information, especially when IIDGs are connected to the transmission line.Therefore, a novel adaptive current protection scheme is proposed.First, with the fault control strategy of IIDG taken into consideration, the output fault current characteristics are analyzed followed by an adaptive current instantaneous trip protection principle.Then, in order to get the power reference value and control parameters, a telecontrol communication model based on manufacturing message specification (MMS) service in IEC 61850 protocol is proposed and implemented to ensure the proposed principle has a fixed protection range under different distributed generator (DG) output conditions at a lower cost.Finally, testing results using real time digital system (RTDS) and the self-designed protection device have verified the validity of the whole proposed protection scheme.
