Abstract
On 28 September 2016, electricity supply in South Australia was interrupted in the region under a black system across the state where renewable energy generation accounted for as high as 48.36% and lasted for 50 hours until load was restored.This is the first regional blackout event in the world triggered by severe weather with large amounts of renewable energy that tripped off the grid.This paper describes the whole "9·28" blackout event step by step from pre-event generation power ratio, sequence of blackout evolution to post-event black system restart.The enlightenment of "9·28" South Australia blackout event to the safe operation of Chinese power system is summarized from different dimensions, like online calculation ancillary decision-making system, system moment of inertia, low voltage ride through requirement, low frequency load shedding and black system restart plan.关键词
