Clinical effect of metformin combined with simvastatin in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome

Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of metformin combined with simvastatin in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).Methods:A total of 120 patients with PCOS from June 2014 to June 2016 were randomly divided into a metformin plus simvastatin group and a metformin group for 3 months.The parameters of sex hormones,blood glucose and blood lipid were measured before and after treatment.Results:Compared with before treatment,the endocrine parameters of the two groups were significantly improved,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05);the effect in the combined treatment group was significantly better than that in the metformin group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Metformin combined with simvastatin in the treatment of PCOS is superior to metformin alone in improvment of the efficacy of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome,which have an advantage in improving level of sex hormones,blood glucose,and lipid.关键词
