Abstract
Objective:To discuss the TCM syndrome elements and their distribution rule of diabetic retinopathy (DR) through using the factor analysis method.Methods:We collected four diagnostic indicators of 929 patients from four research institutes with DR and extracted the syndrome elements of four diagnostic indicators without syndrome differentiation in advance through using the factor analysis method.Results:We got 23 common factor(the syndrome elements) after study and these syndrome elements were interpreted preliminarily as 10 kinds of disease syndrome elements which were respectively Yin deficiency,Qi deficiency,blood stasis,Yang deficiency,phlegm and blood deficiency,deficiency of essence and Qi stagnation,wet,hot(fire) after economic cooperation.Among them,Yin deficiency,Qi deficiency,blood stasis and Yang deficiency were in the top four respectively and were the syndrome elements of DR.The results were basically identical with the understanding of TCM about etiology and pathogenesis of DR.Conclusion:Factor analysis is an efficient method to determine the syndrome elements of DR and the syndromes elements extracted in this paper could be the important reference for syndrome differentiation and treatment of DR.关键词
