Variation law during co-composting of municipal sludge and water hyacinth
摘要
Abstract
In this study,an in-vessel aerobic composting method is adopted to investigate the behavior of various parameters including temperature,moister content,pH,organic matter and total nitrogen during the co-composting process with different proportions between municipal sludge and water hyacinth.The results show that temperature and moister content increased at the start of the composting process followed by a gradually decline;pH and total nitrogen behaved in a reversed way and became stable in the end.During the first two days' fermentation,the content of organic matter dropped dramatically while such decreasing appeared to be mild afterwards.For small scale compost,strong aeration is better for organic matter degradation but not beneficial for nitrogen preservation.At last,the weight ratio between municipal sludge and water hyacinth with 4∶1 has the best composting outcome in the study.关键词
