摘要

Abstract

The generation process and concentration distribution of in-cylinder soot were investigated on a common-rail diesel engine fueled with catalyst diesel using the visualization technology, and the combustion characteristics and smoke emissions of the diesel engine were also analyzed.Results show that the occurrence location of soot flame is advanced and its vanishing moment comes earlier with the increase of CeO2 ratio.Compared with the pure diesel, soot generation zone, soot concentration and soot area occupation ratio in cylinder are smaller with catalyst diesel.There is an obvious reduction of smoke emissions when diesel engine fueled with catalyst diesel, and the improved effect becomes better with the increase of engine load.CeO2 nano-particles can increase the heat release rate and improve the fuel combustion process.While the proportion of CeO2 ratio increases, the combustion starting point advances, the peak pressure, the peak heat release rate and the peak pressure rise rate increase in all, and their corresponding phases get close to the top dead center.
