Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of Qifu Longkui decoction on serum vascular endothelial growth factor and immune function in patients with advanced rectal cancer. Methods 62 patients with advanced rectal cancer were randomly divided into two groups, each group of 31 cases. The control group was only treated with chemotherapy, the study group was treated with chemotherapy and Qifu Longkui decoction in the treatment. The two groups were treated for 4 courses of chemotherapy, Qifu Longkui decoction taking treatment for 2 months. After the end of treatment, we compared the clinical efficacy and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups. The changes of serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), immune function index [natural killer cells (NK), T cell subsets (CD4+/CD8+)] and quality of life score were observed before and after treatment. Results 1) Clinical curative effect: the total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05); 2) Serum vascular endothelial growth factor and immune function: there was no significant difference between the two groups before treatment with NK, VEGF and CD4+/CD8+ (P>0.05), after treatment, the level of VEGF in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the levels of NK and CD4+/CD8+ were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05); 3) Quality of life: there was no significant difference in social function, emotional function, cognitive function, physical function and role function score between the former two groups (P>0.05), after treatment, the social function, emotional function, cognitive function, physical function and role function score of the study group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05); 4) Adverse reactions: no adverse reactions of IV were found in the two groups, the incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of conventional chemotherapy, the treatment effect of Qifu Longkui decoction in patients with advanced rectal cancer is significant, which can effectively reduce the level of serum vascular endothelial growth factor. Improve its immune function, treatment effect and quality of life, not only reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, but also has a high safety.关键词
