Correlation of body composition, bone mineral density, blood glucose and serum lipid of male adults in Dalian

Abstract
Objective:To explore the correlation between body composition,bone mineral density,blood glucose and blood fat.Methods:Totally 113 healthy male adults of Han nationality in Dalian were selected.Bioimpedance analysis method was adopted to test the body composition and the bone mineral density (BMD) was measured by ultrasonic instrument.The biochemical analyzer was adopted to test blood glucose (BG) and blood fat.The mean values and correlation coefficients were measured.Results:In healthy Dalian males,positive correlation could be established between body fat percentage and body weight,body mass index (BMI),body fat and triglyceride (TG),but results showed negative correlation between body fat percentage and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C).There was positive correlation between BC-and weight,BMI,total body water (TBW),protein,skeletal muscle,mineral,body fat,waist-hip ratio (WHR) and basal metabolic rate (BMR),but negative correlation between BG and BMD and HDL-C;total cholesterol (TC) and triglycerides had positive correlation with HDL-C and low density lipoprotein cholesterol.No correlation could be established between TG and age,body weight,skeletal muscle,BG,and BMD,except negative correlation with HDL-C,and positive correlation with the rest items.The positive correlation could be established between ultrasonic speed,fracture risk index,bone strength and body height,body weight,BMI,TBW,protein,mineral,skeletal muscle,body fat,WHR,BMR and BG.Conclusion:Correlation could be established between body composition and BMD,BC-,TG,HDL-C,but not TC.关键词
