Efficacy and safety of shexiang baoxin pills in treatment of elderly patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of shexiang baoxin pills in treatment of elderly patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention.Methods A total of 66 patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction treated by coronary intervention were selected and divided into control group and experimental group,33 cases in each group.Patients in both groups received percutaneous coronary intervention,the control group was given aspirin enteric-coated tablets and clopidogrel bisulfate tablets after operation,while the experimental group was given shexiang baoxin pills on the basis of the control group.Creatine kinase(CK),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),brain natriuretic peptide(BNP),cardiac troponin T(TnT),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)levels,and adverse reactions were compared between two groups.Results Ratio of patients with continuous ST segment elevation>0.2 mV and incidence rates of angina,recurrence myocardial infarction,cardiac death and cardiovascular death in experimental group were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,serum CK,LDH,BNP and TnT levels were significantly lower than those before treatment in both groups(P<0.05),left ventricular shot score level in the blood was significantly higher than that before treatment,and these indexes of experimental group were significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Shexiang baoxin pills is effective and safe intreating elderly patients with acute ST segment elevation myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention.关键词
