Abstract
Sizing effect of polyurethane size mixture on pure cotton yarn was discussed.Two groups of size mixture including SQ-6054 polyurethane sized and PA-8 were prepared separately.The moisture absorption,alkaline solubility and viscosity stability of size films for both size mixture were tested.Sizing experiments were performed.The test results show that the sizing instruction with corn starch as main size had better alkaline solubility for sized film,the same sized film strength & elongation,equivalent viscosity stability for size mixture,slightly higher sizing rate and obviously improved BOD5/COD value when SQ-6054 was used as assist size compared with using PA-8 as assist size in size construction.It is considered that the starch size replacing PA-8 with SQ-6054 as the assist size has the advantages like better sizing effect,lower pollution during desizing and so on.关键词
