Genetic Types and Distribution Features of Wave-Dominated Shore Deposits with Reworked-Delta Background:A Case of 'Donghe Sandstones' in Donghetang Oil Field, Tarim Basin

Abstract
'Donghe sandstones' of Tarim Basin is not simple shore deposits.It shows distinct sedimentary characteristics and different types of sand bodies under controls of modes developed in different area.Base on drilling, logging and seismic data, the study on 'Donghe sandstones', which is located in Donghetang Oilfield, Tarim Basin, China, reveals the depositional mechanism and distribution types of the sand bodies.The result shows that the depositional system is proposed for the 'Donghe Sandstones' as a wave dominated shore deposit with reworked delta background.The dominated delta in adjacent region was reworked by the wave and longshore currents during the transgression, and later formed the shore deposits.On the basis of this, a further classification focused on the shoreface sands was made and three types of sand units(normal bar, reworked distributary channel and reworked mouth bar) for shoreface bars were proposed.Meanwhile, the distribution and evolution were preliminary discussed.Under the background of shore deposits, bar and beach sands of normal deposits are parallel to ancient coastline and sheet-like;the sand and mud in transitional zone also shows characteristics of sheet distribution.Sands from reworked delta front have the morphological characteristics of both original delta and modern shore deposits.Sands of original distributary channel extended seaward from northeast in arborescent type;mouth bar had a ligule distribution at the mouth of original distributary channels;obvious lateral migration occurred for sheet sands, which has sheet distribution.关键词
