Abstract
Objective To explore the characteristics of cognitive function and memory impairment of young and middle-aged patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) and analyze the related factors. Methods Totally 130 young and middle age OSAHS patients aged < 50 years were selected from Sleep Monitoring Room of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University and classified into two groups according to apnea-hypopnea index (AHI):OSAHS group (n =65,AHI ≥ 5) and normal control group (n =65,AHI < 5).Age,gender,education level, body mass index (BMI) and polysomnography parameters of the patients were recorded. All patients were assessed by Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA),clinical memory scale and Epworth sleepiness scale(ESS).The general condition and the scale scores between the two groups were compared, and the correlation between memory quotient and various factors was analyzed. Results The scores of language function, associational study, meaningless figure recognition, associational memory of portraits' characteristics, total scale score, memory quotient (MQ),LSaO2,mean SaO2 (MSaO2) in OSAHS group were lower than those in control group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01),while BMI,ESS,AHI,ODI were significantly higher (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01).There was no significant difference in age, gender and education level, visual space and executive function, nomenclature, attention, abstract ability, delayed recall, orientation, total scores of MoCA,directed memory and pictures freely memory between the two groups (P > 0.05).The partial regression analysis showed that AHI was negatively correlated with MQ,while MSaO2was positively correlated with MQ.The multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that AHI,BMI and MSaO2 were the main influencing factors of memory. Conclusion The language function and memory are declined in young and middle-age OSAHS patients.AHI,BMI and MSaO2 are the main factors of memory impairment.关键词
