Abstract

Precise segmentation of vertical alignment is the foundation of follow-up vertical alignment optimal adjustment. Due to the low efficiency and accuracy of the existing methods to achieve automatic vertical alignment segmentation, an algorithm to fulfill automatic segmentation is studied. Firstly, on the basis of the analysis of the existing methods, this paper presents an automatic segmentation method based on approximate curvature of measuring points. In view of the fact that arc diameter ratio is too small to fit the circular curve exactly, Radius Immobilization Least-square Circle Fitting Method ( RILCFM ) is employed to effectively and precisely calculate the coordinates of the center of the rail circle. The results of experiments show that RILCFM can identify automatically the locations of feature points with higher accuracy.
