摘要

Abstract

A new heterogeneous catalyst,named as CTF-2-CuNPs,was successfully prepared.The solid powder diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis showed that the new compound consists of nanoparticles.Benzyl alcohol can be converted to benzaldehyde with CTF-2-CuNPs as catalyst and oxygen as an oxidizing agent at 80℃ under atmospheric pressure,with the conversion and selectivity of as high as 80% and of 100%,respectively.Besides,when tetramethylpiperidine (TEMPO) is added,the benzyl alcohol is completely oxidized to benzaldehyde in 6 h.Water was used as solvent in the reaction to reduce the cost and avoid environmental pollution.More importantly,the catalyst CTF-2-CuNPs still demonstrated high performance after 5 times recycles.Therefore,this work provides an economical and promising way to the industrial application of oxidation of alcohols to aldehyde.
