摘要

Abstract

The upgrading scheme and the key components of an S band high power klystron transmitter are introduced in this paper.The emphases are put on the design of integrated oil tank,the compact solid state modulator and high voltage switching power supply.The new technologies can provide a better transmission solution to high voltage pulse,which could reduce the size of the device by half.Redundant design and combination are adopted on switching power supply modules and solid-state high voltage modulator modules,which significantly increase the performance and reliability of the transmitter.In order to improve the intelligence of the transmitter control and protection,an automatic testing and fault diagnosis system based on virtual instrument and PXI is presented.The development status shows that the upgrading design of the transmitter has outstanding performs on the size,efficiency,personal safety and intelligence.The prospects of the high power klystron transmitter development are given lastly.
