Abstract
Objective Lower limb spasm is a common complication of hemodialysis treatment that always needs emergency treatment. In addition to clinical medication, the mitigation of tower limb spasm also needs medical staff to implement artificial stretch massage. This article introduced an effective traction treatment apparatus for lower limb spasticity, which was less dependent on others. Methods The treatment instrument was composed of a pallet, a pedal, a screw regulator and other major components. The pedal was adjusted to the appropriate angle when the patients with lower limb spasm. So the patients' feet could close up the pedal and the patients could keep the knee straightly. Then the lower limbs were tied to help patients stretch the lower limbs and foot muscles. Results The pedal and strap could adapt to different size and needs of patients. There were lots of advantages of the device, such as portability, convenient installation and operation, and it could effectively help patients to pull the lower limbs. Conclusion The struggle that caused by spastic pain was easy to take off patient's tube, which might lead to security risks in treatment. The treatment instrument can hold down the lower limbs and keep the muscles in a long time, which was less dependent on the medical staff. In addition, it can reduce the patient's fear and improve the patient's motivation.关键词
