摘要

Abstract

Photothermal therapy ( PTT) and photodynamic therapy ( PDT) are two methods for cancer treatments, which need the aid of photothermal agent ( PT) and photosensitizer ( PS) . Due to the large specific surface area, small particle diameter, mechanical flexibility, and excellent light resistance, nanomaterials have been widely applied in the treatment of cancer as PT or PS. The research focus in PT and PS mainly include gold nanorods, multiple twin gold nanoparticles, upconversion nanoparticles, nano silica, etc.The syntheses of different nanomaterials of PS/PT, and the application development in PDT and PTT is reviewed.
