Abstract
Nonlinear dynamics of drill-strings is presented based on a 2DOF model which considers the coupling between axial and torsional vibrations and a simplified contact model in this paper.Both the averaging method and the numerical method are simultane-ously used to investigate the influence of parameters in the governing equation such as rotation speed at the surface and friction efficient.It is found from the analytical results that both the variations of frequency with amplitudes and the variations of amplitude with rotation speed at the surface and friction coefficient are non-linear for harmonic motions. It is observed from the simulation results that the amplitudes of stick-slip motions with shorter stick time are larger for higher rotary speed and the stick time in stick-slip motions are longer for larger friction coefficient.关键词
