Influence of Pressing Methods on Microstructureand Microhardness of Porous Tungsten
摘要
Abstract
The microstructure and microhardness of porous tungsten with different particle size fabricated by uniaxial compression (UC) and cold isostatic pressing (CIP) are investigated.A comparison has been made between the porous structures of two pressing techniques in terms of the sintered shrinkage, density, microhardness measurements and microstructural observations.Nonuniform shrinkage along compression axis for the uniaxial compressed samples is occurred.Density of the sintered samples decreased with an increase of tungsten particle size.Variations in microhardness values across the transverse and longitudinal sections of the samples are measured and related to the density and porosity distribution.关键词
