Research on the Synchronized SVPWM Strategies Under Low Switching Frequency for Dual Stator Induction Machines

Abstract
In the high-power traction drive systems,the switching frequency of the inverter is strictly limited owing to the restrictions on switching losses and cooling conditions.In these cases,the multi-mode modulation strategy is usually adopted.Based on the analysis of the 24-sector SVPWM technique,several synchronous modulation strategies with different pulse numbers were proposed in this paper,which can be applied to the two-level six-phase voltage inverter fed asymmetrical dual stator induction machines (DSIMs).By comparing the harmonic performance of the synchronized modulations,the authors presented a set of multi-mode SVPWM strategy,which was suitable for the high-power traction drive systems under low switching frequency.At the same time,the switching strategy for transitions between different modulation modes was proposed as well.Simulation and experimental results verified the validity and effectiveness of the proposed synchronized modulation strategies and the switching strategy between different modulation modes.关键词
