Abstract
Objective The goal of this article is to discuss the influence of malocclusion deformity to OHRQOL in adolescents by comparing OHRQOL between adolescent orthodontic patients and normal adolescents. Methods From May 2015 to November 2016,180 adolescent orthodontic patients 12-15 years old were randomly selected as experimental group from a hospital in Harbin and 600 normal adolescents 12-15 years old as control group from two middle schools.The COHRQOL of two groups were completed by the Chinese version of COHIP(the Child Oral Health Impact Profile,COHIP).Then,the results were statistically analyzed by the version 17.0 SPSS software. Results For the score of the overall COHIP, oral health, functional, well-being, social-emotional, well-being school environment, the score of the experimental group is significantly lower than that of the control group, but the score of self-image subscale is higher than the control group(P<0.001). Conclusion Malocclusion deformity affects the OHRQOL of adolescents on these areas.关键词
