Abstract
Objective To explore the teaching model of case-based learning (CBL) applied in pharmacology course teaching for nursing specialty so as to improve the teaching quality of pharmacology.Methods Two classes' students of nursing in Guangzhou Health Science College were selected for the study.CBL and LBL teaching methods were applied to the experimental class (48 students) and the traditional class (49 students),respectively.Teaching outcomes were assessed through a combination of theoretical examination and questionnaire.Results Theoretical examination showed that the average score in the experimental class (83.10 ± 5.07) points was significantly higher than that (68.92 ± 5.78) in the control group (P < 0.05).Questionnaire showed that CBL teaching improved the students'teamwork ability,communication skills,and abilities to apply knowledge,analyze and solve problems.More than 89.58% of the students were satisfied with CBL teaching method.Conclusion Compared with the traditional teaching method,CBL teaching method can improve the overall quality of students and teaching quality of pharmacology,and is worth popularizing in pharmacology teaching.关键词
