Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine ( TCM ) and western medicine in the treatment of coronary heart disease in elderly patients and its effect on blood lipid level. Methods Totally 83 elderly patients with coronary heart disease in our hospital from March 2014 to June 2015 were randomly divided into the TCM and western medicine group ( n=42 ) and western medicine group ( n=41 ) according to the random number method. The western medicine group was treated with atorvastatin, 20 mg/times, 1 times/d, on this basis, the TCM and western medicine group was treated with TCM decoction. 2 weeks as 1 course of treatment, continuous treatment of 2 courses. The levels of TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C were observed, the curative effect, adverse reaction were compared between the two groups, and the recurrence rate was compared between the two groups after followed up for 3, 6 months. Results The total effective rate of the TCM and western medicine group was 95. 24%, which was significantly higher than 73. 17% of the western medicine group ( P < 0. 05 ) . After treatment, the effective ECG rate of the TCM and western medicine group was 92. 86%, which was significantly higher than 75. 61% of the western medicine group ( P < 0. 05 ) . The levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment ( P < 0. 05 ) , but there was no obvious change in HDL-C, and the levels of TC, TG and LDL-C in the TCM and western medicine group were significantly lower than those in the western medicine group ( P <0. 05 ) . The recurrence rate of the TCM and western medicine group was significantly lower than that of the western medicine group at 3, 6 months after discharge ( P < 0. 05 ) . During the treatment period, 3 cases in the western medicine group showed constipation, abdominal distension, abdominal pain and other symptoms, and improved after the withdrawal, but there was no obvious adverse reaction in the TCM and western medicine group. Conclusion Combination of TCM and western medicine in the treatment of elderly patients with coronary heart disease can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients , and improve blood lipid compliance rate and qual ity of life .关键词
