Abstract

Objective To investigate the nanofiltration concentration process of aqueous extract of Radix Isatidis. Methods HPLC method was adopted to determine the retention rate of ( R,S ) epigoitrin with mobile phase of methanol-0. 02% the phosphoric acid so-lution ( 7:93 ) ,the detection wavelength was 245 nm. With the retention rate and membrane flux of ( R,S ) epigoitrin as the indexes,the effects of operating pressure,adsorption characteristics and other factors on concentration process were investigated by single factor tests. Results The retention rate of ( R,S ) epigoitrin increased with decreasing of aperture and unchanged with change of pressure and cycles of concentratin. Membrane flux was positively correlated with intercept relative molecular weight and pressure,decreased as con-centration ratioincreased. Retention rate of ( R,S ) epigoitrin was 97. 50% when nanofiltration membranes aperture was 200 Da. When the membrane flux was 60 L/ ( m2·h ) ,the process had no obvious influence to other ingredients in Radix Isatidis with high concentra-tion efficiency. Conclusion Nanofiltration concentration is suitable for concentrating liquid of Radix Isatidis,it has high efficiency and low losses of active ingredients.
