Abstract
Objective To evaluate quality of life (QOL) of cervical cancer patients treated with either surgery alone or surgery in combination with chemotherapy or/and radiotherapy and its influential factors and to design suitable treatment measures for improving patients'' QOL after cervical cancer treatment.Methods QOL of 100 cervical cancer patients treated with surgery or radiochemotherapy was evaluated by European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire C30 (EORTC QLQ-C30).Results Age had an impact on overall QOL, role function, cognitive function, fatigue and nausea and vomiting of cervical cancer patients (t value was-0.3083,-2.114,-2.090,-2.495 and 2.619, respectively,all P<0.05).Household income was the factor affecting overall QOL, social function and economic difficulties (t value was 2.631,-3.082 and-6.385, respectively, all P<0.05).Stage of disease was influencing factor of cognitive function and emotional function of patients (t value was-2.634 and-4.861, respectively, both P<0.05).Myometrial invasion depth, histological metastasis and lymphatic metastasis were negatively correlated with QOL of cervical cancer patients.Treatment method was influencing factor of overall QOL, fatigue, loss of appetite and economic difficulties (t value was-5.171, 3.471, 2.023 and 2.738, respectively, all P<0.05).Conclusion Patients QOL after treatment of cervical cancer can be improved through paying attention to early diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer, choosing reasonable treating method, and providing targeted treatment measures for patients and their families.关键词
