Correlations of serum LCN-2 and Lipin1 levels with insulin resistance in OSAHS patients

Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlations of serum Lipocalin-2 (LCN-2) and Lipin1 levels with insulin resistance in patients with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS).Methods According to sleep respiratory monitoring data,all participants were divided into the mild group,moderate group,severe group and normal control group.We tested the serum LCN-2 level,Lipin1 level and insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) and then explored their relations.Results Compared with control group,the moderate group and the severe group showed high levels of LCN2 and HOMA-IR and lower level of Lipin1 (P<0.05).Both LCN2 and HOMA-IR levels were high and Lipin1 level was lower in the severe group compared with those in the mild group (P<0.05).LCN-2 level had positive correlations with BMI,LDL-C and HOMA-IR levels and Lipin1 level had negative correlations with BMI,LDL-C and HOMA-IR levels.Multiple linear regression showed that linear regression relations existed between AHI and waist circumference,HOMA-IR level,LCN-2 level and Lipin1 level,and showed that AHI was negatively correlated with Lipin1 level.Conclusion OSAHS patients suffer insulin resistance which may be caused by the increased LCN-2 level and the decreased Lipin1 level.关键词
