Expression and clinical significance of apoptotic stimulating protein 2 of p53 and β-catenin in gingival squamous cell carcinoma
摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the expression and clinical significance of apoptotic stimulating protein 2 of p53 (ASPP2) and β-catenin in gingival squamous cell carcinoma (GSCC) tissues.Methods Tissues from cancer and para-cancer from 22 GSCC patients were used to detect expression of ASPP2 and β-catenin by immunohistochemistry,for further exploration of their clinical significance.Results Positive expression of ASPP2 was higher in GSCC tissues than that in para-cancer tissues,while the situation of β-catenin was on the contrary (P ＜ 0.05).The expression of ASPP2 was associated with the pathological stage,while that of β-catenin was associated with the TNM stage (P ＜ 0.05).The results also suggested that the expression of ASPP2 and β-catenin had a negative correlation (r=-0.492,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion ASPP2 and β-catenin were differently expressed between cancer tissues and para-cancer tissues.Expressions of ASPP2 and β-catenin would be a potent evaluation of the biological behavior and prognosis of GSCC.关键词
