Abstract
Objective To evaluate surgical efficacy of bilateral lateral rectus recession for diffrent types of intermittent exotropia.Methods The medical records of patients with intermittent exotropia who underwent bilateral lateral rectus recession from July 2014 to July 2015 were retrospectively reviewed.Ocular alignment and sensory status were evaluated pre-and postoperatively for each patient.The mean distance and mean near deviation, before and after surgery, as well as the mean near-distance difference, were compared.Results A total of 52 patients were included.28 of them are bascic type of intermittent exotropia, and 11 of them are abduction excessive type of intermittent exotropia, 13 are convergence insufficiency of intermittent exotropia.All of them were underwent bilateral lateral rectus recession.The mean exodeviation was statistical significantly reduced from preoperative to postoperative.Conclusions In this cohort of patients, bilateral lateral rectus recession successfully treated on all types of intermittent exotropia.关键词
