Abstract
Objective To investigate the status of resilience and to analyze the influence factors of nursing staff from the medical contingent of the Chinese People 's Liberation Army (PLA) to Liberia. Methods Totally 54 nurses from the medical contingent to Liberia were investigated with general questionnaire and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Results The average score of resilience of all the nurses was 73.50 ±10.01. Marital status, having child or not, whether fully prepared for the mission, whether understanding the risk of the mission and whether having confidence to complete the mission or not were influence factors of the resilience of the nurses (P<0.05). In tenacity dimension, the married, those with full preparation, those with confidence to complete the mission and those considering it as a common task scored significantly higher. In power dimension, those with child, those with full preparation and those with confidence to complete the mission scored significantly higher; in total score of resilience and optimism dimension, those with full preparation for the mission scored significantly higher. Conclusion The overall resilience of the nurses from the medical contingent to Liberia is in the medium level. Martial status and fertility, whether fully prepared for the mission, whether understanding the risk of the mission and whether having confidence to complete the mission are its influence factors.关键词
